LoveGetChu Episodes 1-5
By Ace | January 30, 2007
Yeah, this is technically a post about episode 5, but I figured I needed to give some background as well since I wasn’t blogging when the first four episodes came out waaay back in September. It really hasn’t been worth the wait for episode 5, but now that its here, I might as well pick it up and hope that it continues in a timely fashion.
For those of you who don’t know, LoveGetChu is a light-hearted romance comedy about an 18-year-old girl named Momoko, along with 4 others who are trying to become idol seiyuu. They each have their own reasons for wanting to become such, but through various trials, they all come together and overcome obstacles as they go along. Oh and one other thing, Momoko has an ungodly lung capacity.
Now, for episode 5, what does a relay race have to do with voice acting? Its explained away as being a teamwork builder, but I think it was really just an excuse to make a boob joke.
Okay, all jokes aside, this episode really did bring tears to my eyes. It shws how one person can make or break an entire team, and it shows how a team can pull one person through. Having dealt with many scenarios like this (mainly with my anime club) where, had it not been for the people behind me, pushing me I wouldn’t have made it, I can relate with this episode for the most part.
There’s not a horrible lot to say about this series except that it like a dose of sweetness for me amongst all the drama and action I typically watch. I’ll blog this one if something strikes me to, otherwise, I would probably just bored everyone to death talking about how cute Momoko is or something of the like.

Hinano>> I don’t really find it boring, just not the heavy drama I’m used to.
