Shuffle ~Memories~

Well, being a huge fan of Shuffle! I had to give this series a shot, and after watching 2 episodes, I’m not sure what to think. It appears that they’re going back and telling the same story in a different order. I know it was marketed as the “Director’s Cut” but I was still hoping for a little more that recycled scenes with the occasional new clip thrown in (and I use occasional very loosely).
The first Episode was a bit of a letdown, but I was expecting that. Its just a recap of what happened in the first series with all the key points left out. The new OP is horrid, and really I had to push myself to continue, but I’m not a person to give up on a series because of the first episode, especially when its the sequel to one I love.
The second episode all I have to say is… why?
They start out with the Kaede story arc. I’m not opposed to Kaede in the slightest, in fact I kind of liked her at first (until you find out her “true nature” anyway). The problem is, they start off, with the worst part. They show the death of her mom and Tsuchimi Rin’s parents, they show her trying to kill him, they show all this right at the start, leading up to the opening scene from Shuffle!
I have episode 3 downloaded, but I’m going to have to pressure myself to watch it. I doubt that I’ll continue to blog this series unless something picks up or they actually have some new content.
